This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Plan and execute quality assurance activities throughout the entire software development life cycle (SDLC).
• Validate application modifications in development, testing, staging, and other non-production environments prior to their promotion to production.
• Create and uphold both automated and manual test cases, scripts, suites, data, and documentation.
• Incorporate automated testing within CI/CD pipelines.
• Maintain or assist in testing and quality gates using tools such as Selenium, SonarQube, Jenkins, and similar technologies.
• Confirm functional requirements and user-story acceptance criteria.
• Conduct or coordinate regression, integration, system, performance, and release testing.
• Validate Section 508 compliance for relevant ICT or user-interface functionalities.
• Identify defects, document reproducible outcomes, and collaborate with engineers for resolution and retesting.
• Review security scans and code-quality results to ensure readiness for release.
• Monitor test coverage and suggest enhancements to automated testing.
• Provide support for User Acceptance Testing as required by the federal customer.
• Generate test plans, test scripts, test outcomes, defect documentation, and release-quality records.
• Assist in production incident analysis by verifying fixes and assessing regression impacts.
• Lead or participate in QA activities for USCIS ICAM applications.
• Validate application code, configurations, integrations, and functional changes prior to release.
• Ensure functional, performance, security, and Section 508 compliance for relevant releases.
• Proven experience in software quality assurance throughout the SDLC.
• Demonstrated ability to integrate automated testing with structured manual testing.
• Skilled in developing and maintaining software test plans, scripts, cases, and results.
• Experience in testing software in non-production environments prior to release.
• Proficiency with Selenium or a similar automated functional testing tool.
• Familiarity with Jenkins or analogous CI/CD pipeline tools.
• Experience with SonarQube or similar code-quality/security scanning tools.
• Expertise in functional, regression, integration, and release testing.
• Knowledge of validating Section 508 or accessibility requirements for software releases.
• Preferred: Current DHS Trusted Tester certification.
• Preferred: Experience with WCAG 2.0 Level A and AA criteria.
• Preferred: Experience in conducting performance or load testing for enterprise web applications.
• Preferred: Previous experience with DHS, USCIS, or federal civilian testing.
• Preferred: Familiarity with testing ICAM, IAM, SSO, PIV, PKI, PAM, access management, or cybersecurity applications.
• Preferred: Experience with Jira, GitHub Enterprise, Java/Spring applications, Angular applications, MySQL, or containerized environments.
• Preferred: Experience in supporting automated security, accessibility, and coverage gates within a federal DevSecOps pipeline.
