This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Virginia.
• Assist in the creation of web-based applications, focusing on automation testing expertise.
• Take on a pivotal role in the design and execution of the quality assurance program.
• Lead the formulation of the comprehensive test strategy, design of the testing environment, and creation of test data.
• Provide leadership in the recruitment, training, mentoring, and performance evaluation of testing team members.
• Plan, execute, and report on testing for software development and maintenance.
• Assess and offer suggestions regarding test documentation.
• Create test plans and procedures to support system evaluation based on specifications and technical data outlined in requirements documents.
• Develop and implement data collection strategies, including training for operators and data collectors.
• Conduct necessary reviews of all data collection forms and operational logs gathered during testing.
• Evaluate Test Incident Reports for precision and thoroughness.
• Aid in the analysis of documented user requirements and contribute to the design of test plans that align with user needs.
• Collaborate with testing working groups on test-related matters and topics.
• Provide prompt communication regarding upgrades, downtimes, system modifications, or prevalent issues.
• Understand the proper procedures for reporting bugs and escalating issues when necessary.
• Conduct technical reviews and ensure compliance with quality processes.
• Bachelor’s Degree in information technology or a related field from an accredited institution.
• Over 5 years of software testing experience, collaborating with developers, project and release managers, system administrators, business analysts, and database administrators.
• More than 2 years of experience in automation testing.
• Proven experience in leading a team and mentoring junior members.
• Proficient in interpreting requirements, crafting quality control documentation (e.g., Test Reports), and developing user acceptance test plans (including Acceptance Criteria).
• Familiar with Test Management, automation toolsets, and related processes.
• Understanding of the Performance Testing process and its schedule.
• Proficient with test automation and management tools, such as Playwright and Selenium.
• Excellent organizational, analytical, and problem-solving abilities.
• Capable of working independently while also effectively communicating and collaborating within fully remote and/or hybrid teams.
• Must be a U.S. citizen in compliance with contract requirements.
