This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Conduct testing for intricate API and web-based applications that connect to database back-end systems.
• Reproduce issues, debug, and isolate problems while verifying resolutions.
• Develop software artifacts, including test plans, test cases, testing procedures, and test reports.
• Design, create, develop, and maintain automated test frameworks and test suites to validate software functionality, performance, and scalability.
• Create and implement automated testing processes and tools for software products.
• Collaborate with software engineers to guarantee testability and maintainability of code throughout the software development lifecycle.
• Work with engineering teams to promote testing requirements during the development cycle.
• Identify and prioritize test cases for automation based on risk, complexity, and usage frequency.
• Execute automated tests and analyze results to pinpoint defects, performance bottlenecks, and areas for optimization.
• Engage in code reviews, design discussions, and sprint planning meetings.
• Troubleshoot problems, investigate root causes, and facilitate defect resolution with cross-functional teams.
• Contribute to CI/CD pipelines to automate build, test, and deployment processes.
• Keep updated on industry trends and best practices in software testing, test automation, and quality assurance methodologies.
• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, or a related field.
• Over 5 years of experience as a Software Development Engineer or in a Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET) role.
• Strong proficiency in software development using programming languages such as JavaScript, Java, Python, C#, or similar.
• Competence in writing basic SQL queries utilizing joins and aggregate functions.
• Experience in designing and developing automated test frameworks and test suites using tools like Selenium, Appium, JUnit, TestNG, or similar.
• Familiarity with CI/CD processes.
• Strong understanding of software engineering principles, including object-oriented design, data structures, algorithms, and design patterns.
• Experience with version control systems such as Git and collaborative development workflows.
• Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the capacity to work effectively in a fast-paced, agile environment.
• Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP, and containerization technologies like Docker or Kubernetes is a plus.
