This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Design, develop, and implement automated tests utilizing contemporary automation frameworks specifically designed for cloud-native (EKS/AWS GovCloud) and air-gapped/federal settings.
• Incorporate test suites into CI/CD pipelines (GitLab CI/Jenkins) to verify builds before deployment across staging and production environments.
• Conduct comprehensive E2E testing across frontend UI and backend services (CLI, logs, containerized microservices) in mixed Linux and Windows environments.
• Ensure compliance and security standards are met, confirming releases adhere to rigorous Federal compliance regulations, including FedRAMP and NIST guidelines.
• Carry out regression testing and smoke tests to maintain deployment stability throughout sprint releases.
• Keep detailed test documentation, which includes test plans, test cases, automated runs, and defect reports in Jira/Allure.
• Protect critical infrastructure within US Government and public sector agency environments.
• US Citizenship Required (due to compliance with US Federal and GovCloud standards).
• Remote work within the United States (EST time zone preferred).
• At least 10 years of experience in QA and software automation development.
• Strong expertise in Python for automation script development — Essential.
• Demonstrated experience in API testing (both manual and automated) — Essential.
• Practical experience with manual and automated UI testing — Essential.
• Hands-on experience with AI tools (e.g., GitHub Copilot, ChatGPT, or AI-driven testing frameworks) — Essential.
• Extensive experience in Linux environments (RHEL, Ubuntu, Amazon Linux) and command-line diagnostics (CLI, logs, system metrics) — Essential.
• Solid background with version control systems (Git / GitLab).
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipeline integration (GitLab CI, Jenkins) and automated test reporting tools (Allure or similar).
• Web Application testing experience using Playwright and backend tools.
• Exceptional teamwork abilities, adaptability, and capacity to work independently in a fast-paced setting.
• Preferred / Advantage: Experience testing applications deployed on Kubernetes / EKS or in containerized environments (Docker).
• Preferred / Advantage: Knowledge of AWS / AWS GovCloud services and infrastructure.
• Preferred / Advantage: Experience with database query execution and SQL.
• Preferred / Advantage: Understanding of FedRAMP, NIST 800-53, or DoD compliance and security frameworks.
• Preferred / Advantage: Experience testing virtual machines, air-gapped infrastructure, or collector/edge devices.
• Minimal travel required (<10%).
