Software Test Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Mexico.

📋 Description

• Conduct hands-on manual testing for web, SaaS, and mobile applications.

• Create and implement test plans, test cases, and testing scenarios.

• Execute functional, regression, exploratory, and integration testing.

• Replicate, investigate, and document software bugs with clear and actionable details.

• Verify application performance across various environments and use cases.

• Write and uphold Python scripts for test automation, data validation, and other QA activities.

• Collaborate with developers, product managers, and other stakeholders to identify and address quality concerns.

• Assist in automation initiatives and contribute to enhancing testing efficiency and coverage.

• Utilize API testing tools and technologies to validate backend services and integrations.

• Analyze test outcomes and communicate results effectively.

• Utilize AI-driven coding and development tools to enhance testing, scripting, and automation processes.

⛳️ Requirements

• Practical experience in manual software testing, especially with web/SaaS and mobile applications.

• In-depth knowledge of software testing methodologies and QA best practices.

• Proficiency in test planning.

• Experience in functional testing.

• Familiarity with regression testing.

• Background in exploratory testing.

• Experience in bug reproduction.

• Skills in defect reporting and documentation.

• Working knowledge of Python for scripting, automation, or data validation.

• Familiarity with or experience in REST APIs.

• Experience with AI-powered coding/development tools such as Claude, Codex, or similar technologies.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.

• Ability to communicate technical findings clearly and effectively.

• Intermediate to Advanced English proficiency.

• English proficiency at B2+ or C1 level.

• Nice to have: Familiarity with Robot Framework, Playwright, Selenium, Postman, SQL, JIRA, Confluence, TestRail, or Mailosaur.
