SDET – QA Automation

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Qatar, +1 more country.

📋 Description

• Design, implement, and consistently deliver testing tools and infrastructure for both front-end and back-end components.

• Conduct tests at scale and enhance the feedback loop for testing.

• Develop scalable automated testing frameworks.

• Convert manual test coverage into sustainable automated test suites.

• Integrate testing processes into CI/CD pipelines alongside DevOps teams.

• Create testing software and reporting solutions that facilitate continuous feature and product delivery.

• Validate APIs, integrations, databases, CRM/ERP systems, and endpoints from third-party technologies.

• Collaborate with agile engineering teams, developers, product managers, and leadership stakeholders.

• Shape design, enhance testability, communicate risks, and champion quality.

• Stay updated with trends in automated testing, experiment with new ideas, and introduce innovations.

⛳️ Requirements

• Minimum of 4 years as a Software Engineer in Test, with practical experience in designing, building, and evolving scalable automation frameworks from scratch.

• Proven ability to transform manual test coverage into maintainable, high-value automated test suites.

• Strong expertise with Node.js, Angular, WebdriverIO, Jasmine/Mocha, Selenium, or PyTest (or similar technologies).

• Proficient in JavaScript, TypeScript, Python, or related programming languages.

• Experience in Agile/Scrum environments as an embedded Quality Engineer.

• Familiarity with iPaaS, SaaS, or other cloud-based platforms.

• Hands-on experience in testing REST/SOAP APIs, working with JSON/XML payloads, and validating integrations with relational databases, CRM/ERP systems, and third-party platforms.

• Proficient with Postman, Jenkins, Docker, VirtualBox/Hyper-V, npm/yarn, JMeter, JIRA, GitHub, and relevant DevOps toolchains.

• Experience utilizing AI tools to enhance test generation, code quality, analysis, or productivity.

• Comfortable interpreting vendor API documentation and navigating complex integration scenarios.

• Experience collaborating with distributed teams across various time zones.

• Strong verbal and written communication skills.

• Willingness to adjust working hours when necessary for cross-time-zone collaboration and critical releases.
