Software Specialist

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Design, construct, and enhance dashboards and queries to expand log-coverage reporting.

• Assess asset inventory against log data sources to pinpoint and document coverage deficiencies.

• Examine and rectify data quality issues and discrepancies in asset correlation.

• Assist in the onboarding process of new log sources, including requirements for adapters and platform setup.

• Oversee the export of coverage data to downstream systems, ensuring its integrity and timeliness.

• Continuously improve platform configuration and maintain comprehensive documentation.

• Facilitate knowledge transfer and provide training to internal client teams.

• Collaborate cross-functionally with stakeholders from security and IT operations.

• Identify, document, and proactively address coverage-gap backlogs.

• Develop and sustain a functional dashboard suite for the client's internal team with minimal support.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 2 years of hands-on experience managing an IT asset intelligence/discovery platform, such as Axonius or a similar solution.

• Proven ability in dashboard and query development, not solely relying on pre-built reports.

• Experience in onboarding new log sources and coordinating integration and adapter requirements.

• Strong grasp of asset discovery, data normalization, and log aggregation principles.

• Capability to independently troubleshoot intricate data-correlation problems.

• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, including process documentation.

• Background in cybersecurity operations or large-scale IT asset management is advantageous.

• Experience in training or knowledge transfer to internal client teams is a plus.

• Familiarity with related asset-visibility and attack-surface-management tools is desirable.

• Previous remote contract experience within enterprise-scale environments is a plus.
