Software QA/QC Engineer – Manual, API & Automation

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Egypt.

📋 Description

• Evaluate business requirements, user stories, and technical specifications to formulate test scenarios.

• Create, enhance, and sustain comprehensive test cases, test scenarios, and test data.

• Conduct functional, regression, integration, smoke, and UAT testing across various platforms.

• Implement manual test cases and document defects with detailed steps, evidence, and priority in defect tracking systems such as Jira and Azure DevOps.

• Work alongside developers and business analysts to replicate, assess, and resolve defects.

• Maintain traceability between requirements, test cases, and defects.

• Engage in review sessions for requirements, test cases, and defects.

• Deliver precise testing status updates and assist in test planning and estimation.

• Aid automation testing efforts utilizing Playwright and Cypress when relevant.

• Adhere to established QA processes and standards while contributing to ongoing improvements.

• Verify backend data using SQL queries to ensure data integrity.

• Execute SOAP and REST API testing utilizing tools like SoapUI and Postman.

⛳️ Requirements

• Master's or Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or a related IT Engineering field.

• Preferred ISQTB Certifications.

• 3–5 years of experience in Software Quality Control testing.

• Strong understanding of software development methodologies (e.g., Agile).

• Solid experience in crafting and executing manual test cases.

• Proficient with defect management and test management tools (e.g., Jira, Azure DevOps).

• Capability to write and execute basic SQL queries for data validation.

• Familiar with API testing tools (e.g., Postman, Rest Assured).

• Experience with automation testing frameworks (e.g., Playwright, Cypress).

• Outstanding communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively in cross-functional teams.
