Software Engineer/Storage Systems Developer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Germany.

📋 Description

• Develop and maintain software components for Lustre file system environments.

• Contribute code to Lustre and related storage infrastructure projects.

• Design, implement, and enhance automation, CI/CD, and testing frameworks.

• Analyze system performance, troubleshoot intricate storage issues, and optimize large-scale environments.

• Collaborate with distributed engineering teams on architectural design, development, and validation activities.

• Support integration, functional, and regression testing of storage solutions.

• Engage with a leading global technology company customer.

⛳️ Requirements

• Strong background as a Lustre Software Engineer or Storage Systems Developer.

• Understanding of distributed systems, storage technologies, and high-performance computing (HPC) environments.

• Practical knowledge of Lustre architecture, internals, and development processes.

• Extensive software development experience in Linux environments.

• Proficiency in Python, Perl, Bash, or similar scripting languages.

• Hands-on experience with Git/GitHub, Gerrit, Jenkins, and automation frameworks.

• Ability to investigate complex technical issues and deliver production-ready code.

• Experience with large-scale test automation and CI/CD infrastructure is a plus.

• Familiarity with MongoDB, Ansible, and cloud-based testing environments is advantageous.

• Background in HPC storage products and parallel file systems is a bonus.

• Must pass a background check as a final candidate.
