This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Florida.
• Work in partnership with global trade teams, IT departments, and external partners to collect and document business requirements.
• Evaluate existing processes and systems to pinpoint gaps and opportunities for enhancement.
• Convert business needs into both functional and technical specifications.
• Develop IT solutions that support customs compliance, import/export operations, and trade finance.
• Ensure that solutions are in line with business objectives, regulatory requirements, and industry best practices.
• Assist in the planning, execution, and delivery of IT projects related to global trade.
• Collaborate with project managers to ensure projects are completed on schedule, within scope, and within budget.
• Act as a liaison between business stakeholders and technical teams.
• Organize workshops, meetings, and discussions to gather feedback and validate solutions.
• Ensure that IT solutions adhere to international trade regulations and standards.
• Identify potential risks and develop mitigation strategies in collaboration with relevant teams.
• Create and implement test plans.
• Assist with user acceptance testing and address any issues that arise.
• Spot opportunities for process optimization and automation.
• Keep abreast of industry trends and emerging technologies to propose innovative solutions.
• Prepare business requirements, process flows, and user manuals.
• Provide updates on project status, risks, and issues to stakeholders and senior management.
• Bachelor’s Degree with a minimum of 6 years of relevant experience, or a Graduate Degree with at least 4 years of related experience, or 10 years of related experience in place of a degree.
• At least 4 years of experience in IT business analysis.
• Experience with ERP systems and global trade management software.
• Practical experience supporting global trade operations in an IT context.
• Proficient in business analysis tools and methodologies.
• Familiarity with global trade systems like Descartes OCR EASE or similar platforms.
• Understanding of data analysis, reporting tools, and process modeling.
• Knowledge of international trade regulations, customs compliance, and import/export procedures.
• Experience with data integration, APIs, and system interfaces.
• Familiarity with automation tools and technologies.
• PMP, CBAP, ITIL, or other relevant certifications are advantageous.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the capacity to translate technical concepts into business language.
• Proven ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
• Understanding of trade finance, supply chain operations, and logistics processes.
