Lustre Software Engineer – Storage Systems Developer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Germany.

📋 Description

• Develop and sustain software components for Lustre file system environments.

• Contribute code to Lustre and associated storage infrastructure initiatives.

• Design, implement, and enhance automation, continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD), and testing frameworks.

• Assess system performance, troubleshoot intricate storage challenges, and optimize large-scale environments.

• Collaborate with distributed engineering teams on architecture, development, and validation tasks.

• Assist in integration, functional, and regression testing of storage solutions.

• Partner with Tieto Tech Consulting and its client, a prominent global technology firm.

⛳️ Requirements

• Strong background as a Lustre Software Engineer/Storage Systems Developer.

• Proficient in the Lustre distributed file system and Linux-based storage solutions.

• Solid understanding of distributed systems, storage technologies, and high-performance computing (HPC) environments.

• Practical knowledge of Lustre architecture, internals, and development processes.

• Extensive software development experience in Linux environments.

• Familiarity with Python, Perl, Bash, or similar scripting languages.

• Hands-on experience with Git/GitHub, Gerrit, Jenkins, and automation frameworks.

• Capability to investigate complex technical issues and produce production-quality code.

• Experience with large-scale test automation and CI/CD infrastructure is a plus.

• Knowledge of MongoDB, Ansible, and cloud-based testing environments is a plus.

• Background in HPC storage products and parallel file systems is advantageous.
