Software Engineer, Storage Systems Developer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Germany.

📋 Description

• Create and sustain software components within Lustre file system environments

• Contribute code to Lustre and associated storage infrastructure projects

• Design, implement, and enhance automation, CI/CD, and testing frameworks

• Assess system performance, resolve intricate storage challenges, and optimize large-scale environments

• Collaborate with distributed engineering teams on architecture, development, and validation efforts

• Assist in the integration, functional, and regression testing of storage solutions

⛳️ Requirements

• Solid background as a Lustre Software Engineer/Storage Systems Developer

• Experience at the Middle/Senior level

• Strong proficiency in the Lustre distributed file system and Linux-based storage solutions

• Understanding of distributed systems, storage technologies, and high-performance computing (HPC) environments

• Practical knowledge of Lustre architecture, internals, and development processes

• Extensive software development experience in Linux environments

• Proficiency in Python, Perl, Bash, or other similar scripting languages

• Direct experience with Git/GitHub, Gerrit, Jenkins, and automation frameworks

• Ability to investigate complex technical issues and produce production-quality code

• Experience in large-scale test automation and CI/CD infrastructure is a plus

• Familiarity with MongoDB, Ansible, and cloud-based testing environments is advantageous

• Background in HPC storage products and parallel file systems is a plus

• Successful completion of a background check for final candidates
