Software Engineering Manager – Cloud

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Brazil.

📋 Description

• Spearhead the Cloud strategy by articulating the vision, target architecture, key priorities, and roadmap for GCP, AWS, and OCI.

• Oversee and nurture the Cloud Engineering team accountable for cloud infrastructure, promoting autonomy, defined ownership, and excellence in execution.

• Advance the cloud foundation by setting standards for organizations, accounts, projects, networks, DNS, identity, access, quotas, policies, shared services, and environment segregation.

• Enhance automation and the adoption of Infrastructure as Code by delivering standardized components and self-service options for Engineering teams.

• Improve the resilience and both technical and financial efficiency of shared infrastructure in collaboration with Engineering, Architecture, Cybersecurity, and Cloud FinOps.

⛳️ Requirements

• Proven experience in leading Cloud Engineering, DevOps, Platform Engineering, or equivalent teams within large-scale environments.

• Extensive experience with GCP, encompassing architecture, governance, operations, and the evolution of production environments.

• Proficiency with AWS and designing multi-cloud or hybrid architectures, taking into account the distribution of workloads and services across different providers.

• Experience managing Kubernetes in production, ideally GKE and EKS, along with container platforms utilized across multiple products.

• Strong understanding of Infrastructure as Code and infrastructure automation, particularly with Terraform, including modules, reusable patterns, and large-scale provisioning workflows.

• Familiarity with Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI), especially in contexts of adoption, migration, or multi-cloud operations.

• Prior experience in DevOps or Platform Engineering, with direct participation in internal developer platforms.

• Relevant certifications in GCP, AWS, OCI, Kubernetes, Terraform, or FinOps are preferred.

• Knowledge of Crossplane, GitOps, or other declarative methods for revealing infrastructure capabilities through an internal platform.

• Experience with cloud financial efficiency, which includes rightsizing, usage commitments, pricing models, egress, storage, and capacity management.
