Software Engineering Manager

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Brazil.

📋 Description

• Oversee the design and progress of the AI platform, acting as a technical authority for GenAI, LLMs, and agents.

• Create solutions for LLM Gateway, RAG, semantic search, as well as multi-model and multi-provider integration.

• Set standards for agents and multi-agent systems, emphasizing scalability, security, observability, and governance.

• Implement evaluation, monitoring, and oversight processes for LLMs and agents operating in production.

• Work collaboratively across various teams, including Engineering, Product, Security, Cloud, and technology partners.

• Play a key role in shaping the platform’s technical roadmap by balancing innovation, cost, scalability, security, and speed of delivery.

⛳️ Requirements

• Proven experience in leading software engineering teams.

• Extensive background in Software Engineering, Systems Architecture, or AI Engineering.

• Familiarity with Agile and Lean methodologies along with workflow management.

• Understanding of engineering metrics, such as DORA and Flow Metrics, with the capability to make informed, data-driven decisions.

• Skill in developing team members, providing constructive feedback, and supporting their development plans.

• Experience with digital products and architectures in high-scale or fast-growing settings.

• Excellent communication abilities and the capacity to collaborate across Engineering, Product, Business, and other stakeholders.

• Capability to balance strategic vision, execution, and complex technical decisions.

• Practical experience with LLMs, GenAI, and applications based on agents.

• Knowledge of RAG, semantic search, embeddings, and vector databases or indexes.

• Experience in integrating various LLMs and model providers.

• Familiarity with APIs, microservices, distributed systems, and cloud architecture.

• Knowledge of observability, security, and governance principles as they pertain to software and AI platforms.

• Understanding of MLOps, LLMOps, or AI Platform Engineering best practices.

• Preferred: Experience using AWS Bedrock, OpenSearch, pgvector, or similar technologies.

• Preferred: Familiarity with agent frameworks and multi-agent systems in production environments.

• Preferred: Experience in LLM Evaluation, AI Safety, guardrails, and AI Governance.

• Preferred: Understanding of the WhatsApp/Meta Business Messaging API or other messaging platforms.

• Preferred: Past experience building internal AI platforms utilized by multiple teams.

• Preferred: Background in fintech, banking, payments, or large-scale digital products.
