This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Take charge of product-layer coordination and leadership of engineering teams.
• Directly manage engineers through regular 1:1 meetings, career growth, recruitment, and performance evaluations.
• Lead teams across platform, data, and support functions.
• Identify and prioritize modernization, migration, optimization, unplanned technical tasks, and partner integration efforts.
• Ensure the long-term health of data and data pipelines.
• Manage and coordinate incoming requests for reporting tools.
• Ensure that production issues, incidents, and technical escalations from partners are triaged, owned, and resolved.
• Schedule regular 1:1s to promote team growth, engagement, and alignment.
• Conduct performance evaluations and offer coaching.
• Engage in headcount planning, recruitment, and career development.
• Assist in team goal-setting and support Tech Leads with technical decisions and project planning.
• Maintain and prioritize Jira backlogs across Tech Stream, Data, and Primary Tech Support.
• Lead discussions on technical scoping and sequence initiatives accordingly.
• Convert internal stakeholder requests into prioritized tasks.
• Represent technical functions in cross-departmental meetings.
• Align technical roadmaps with Product teams.
• Communicate project status, blockers, and decisions effectively to the organization.
• Guide architecture and design choices, advising stakeholders on system and feature trade-offs.
• Investigate problems, debug critical systems, and review code.
• Enhance development standards and processes.
• Facilitate experimentation and integration of AI tools and AI-driven workflows.
• Assess AI and automation opportunities, coordinating initiatives through to delivery.
• Assist teams in responsibly adopting AI-assisted development while adhering to compliance and data-handling standards.
• Report directly to the CTO.
• Proven experience managing engineers directly, including aspects such as hiring, performance reviews, career development, and conducting 1:1s.
• Demonstrated ability to manage a technical backlog and prioritize tasks amidst competing demands.
• Experience in planning and prioritizing modernization and migration initiatives.
• Comfortable working across various technical domains, including infrastructure, data, and application development.
• Strong communication skills to convey technical work to non-technical stakeholders and business context to engineers.
• Experience in coordinating across teams with differing priorities.
• Clear, structured communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Capability to draft actionable engineering tickets and provide comprehensible updates to stakeholders.
• Experience guiding teams in the adoption of AI-assisted development tools or workflows.
• Background in partner or third-party integration projects.
• Applicants must currently be authorized to work full-time in the United States.
