Senior Manager, Software Engineering

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Alabama, +43 more states.

📋 Description

• Oversee the design, foundational framework, and development of Specialty Pharmacy products along with related technology assets.

• Evaluate software engineering practices and promote ongoing enhancements, operational efficiency, timely delivery, and product excellence.

• Direct engineering teams and provide mentorship in executing solutions across various technological platforms.

• Manage personnel, which includes hiring, performance evaluations, team development, career advancement, skill enhancement, coaching, and setting measurable professional objectives.

• Foster relationships with Business, Product, and Technology stakeholders to facilitate the delivery roadmap.

• Collaborate with vendors to establish onshore and offshore/nearshore contingent teams.

• Work alongside solution vendors to meet technological requirements.

• Perform technology research and innovation to craft long-term strategies based on emerging trends in healthcare and technology.

• Execute software engineering tasks through multiple disciplined Agile releases across various regions.

• Propel technology strategy, design, development, testing, delivery, and growth for Specialty Pharmacy value streams.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 7 years of comprehensive Software Development experience using Agile methodologies.

• At least 5 years of experience in developing microservices with Python and Java (Spring Boot).

• A minimum of 3 years leading high-performing distributed and remote software engineering teams.

• At least 3 years of experience with containerization tools and technologies, such as Kubernetes and Docker.

• A minimum of 2 years of experience with cloud platforms, preferably GCP.

• At least 1 year of experience utilizing Agentic AI frameworks and generative AI-based web services and tools.

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience (High School diploma + 4 years of relevant experience).

• Willingness to travel up to 10% within the United States, as required.
