Software Engineering Manager

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Develop and expand the engineering team and product offerings.

• Engage directly with the codebase.

• Collaborate effectively with Product and Design teams to define the team's strategic direction.

• Assist in articulating the objectives, rationale, and methodologies of product development.

• Gain a deep understanding of the trucking industry and its users.

• Rapidly build and deploy features on a daily or weekly basis.

• Communicate directly with dispatchers and back-office personnel to identify product challenges.

• Resolve customer issues and provide high-quality product functionality.

⛳️ Requirements

• Proficiency in both Ruby on Rails and React.

• Experience in a remote-first work environment.

• Over 2 years of direct management experience.

• Capability and enthusiasm for rapid feature development and deployment.

• Excellent communication skills.

• Ability to accept direction and feedback from senior colleagues.

• Strong interest in learning about the trucking industry, engaging with customers, and understanding their business processes and workflows.

• Empathy towards users and team members.

• Permanent authorization to work in the U.S.

• Must reside in the United States.
