Software Engineering Lead

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Alabama, +33 more states.

📋 Description

• Take ownership of the Testimonials platform, focusing on architecture, code quality, infrastructure, and production reliability.

• Oversee and improve Kubernetes-based deployments, ensuring observability, scalability, and efficient release processes.

• Make and document crucial architectural decisions.

• Keep operational and technical documentation up to date.

• Facilitate platform growth in response to increasing customer demand.

• Guide the daily execution of the product roadmap.

• Collaborate with the Product team on roadmap planning and technical trade-offs.

• Set engineering standards through code and design reviews.

• Mentor engineers and coordinate contractor resources as necessary.

• Lead engineering initiatives to support SOC 2 readiness.

• Implement secure development practices, change control, and access management protocols.

• Work with Security and Compliance teams to enhance platform controls.

• Deliver enterprise features, dashboards, and enhancements requested by customers.

• Support platform integrations and modernization projects.

• Promote the use of AI-assisted development tools and automated engineering workflows.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 8 years of software engineering experience.

• Proven experience managing a production SaaS platform.

• Strong hands-on proficiency with Go, React, Kubernetes, and AWS architecture.

• Demonstrated ability to support, troubleshoot, and scale production systems.

• Experience leading a small engineering team or managing a technical workstream.

• Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.

• Ability to work independently in a dynamic environment.

• Interest in AI-assisted software development methodologies.

• Experience with MySQL and REST APIs.

• Background in SOC 2, ISO 27001, or similar compliance frameworks.

• Familiarity with regulated industries, such as financial services or insurance.

• Experience with CI/CD, infrastructure-as-code, and observability tools.

• Proven track record supporting enterprise customers and delivering tailored solutions.

• Knowledge of AI-enabled improvements in the software development life cycle.

• Must be authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship.
