Software Engineer – Web

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Colorado, +2 more states.

📋 Description

• Collaborate closely with client teams to identify, scope, and deliver comprehensive full-stack applications, managing challenges from initial vague concepts to final production.

• Design, develop, and deploy scalable web applications across the technology stack utilizing React, Next.js, TypeScript, contemporary back-end frameworks, and cloud services.

• Identify, prototype, and implement AI-enhanced features, such as LLM integration, retrieval-augmented generation, agentic workflows, and intelligent automation.

• Apply evaluation techniques, set guardrails, and maintain awareness of cost and latency in relation to AI features.

• Leverage AI-assisted development tools to enhance delivery speed while ensuring code quality remains high.

• Implement infrastructure-as-code practices and automated deployment pipelines.

• Create and sustain automated tests, including evaluation harnesses tailored for AI features.

• Conduct code reviews, promote best practices, and uphold rigorous engineering standards.

• Offer technical guidance and mentorship to teams and clients.

• Manage delivery expectations with client stakeholders, effectively balancing speed, quality, and project scope.

• Stay informed about the evolving AI and web landscape, evaluating how tools and models can provide leverage.

⛳️ Requirements

• Experience in transitioning an AI feature from prototype to production, including monitoring, evaluation, and iterative improvements based on user feedback (nice to have).

• Familiarity with constructing and managing scalable frontend architectures such as microfrontends, monorepos, and shared internal libraries (nice to have).

• Proficient in managing and evolving CI/CD pipelines and associated DevOps tools (nice to have).

• Experience in developing authentication and secured applications (nice to have).

• Knowledge of tools that assist in monitoring, logging, and securing applications, including AI observability (nice to have).

• Background in architecting complex software systems (nice to have).

• Experience in fine-tuning, distilling, or customizing models, along with insights on when such actions are warranted compared to prompting or retrieval (nice to have).

• Comfortable navigating ambiguity and working with short feedback cycles.

• Capable and willing to lead communications with project stakeholders.

• Able to articulate technical constraints and the capabilities and limitations of AI to both technical and non-technical audiences.
