This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Europe.
β’ Develop and manage the real-time enforcement layer while adhering to a millisecond latency requirement.
β’ Architect signal-to-decision-to-action workflows that encompass sending, receiving, and account activities.
β’ Create detection rules and policies, ensuring they are safe for modification.
β’ Identify and mitigate account takeover attempts and compromised API keys.
β’ Assess detection accuracy and phase out detections that adversely impact legitimate senders.
β’ Streamline investigations, appeals, and bulk actions through automation.
β’ Construct and assess machine learning classifiers for spam and phishing detection.
β’ Establish safeguards and guarantee that actions are traceable via logs, metrics, and audit trails.
β’ Oversee projects from initial discovery to full production.
β’ Work in close partnership with developers utilizing Resendβs email platform.
β’ A minimum of 5 years of experience in software engineering.
β’ Proficient in both written and spoken English.
β’ Extensive experience with Node.js, TypeScript, React, Hono, and Next.js.
β’ Familiarity with Go or a willingness to learn the language.
β’ Skills in infrastructure and reliability, particularly with AWS, CDK, and Datadog.
β’ Background in APIs, event-driven architectures, queues, and stateful services.
β’ Capability to design systems that are fail-safe and consider false positives as bugs.
β’ Experience in observability, including metrics, logs, tracing, and error management.
β’ Full-stack ownership encompassing frontend interfaces to databases and queues.
β’ Proven expertise with Postgres and Redis.
β’ Prior experience in trust and safety, fraud, or security is advantageous for an exceptional fit.
β’ Experience in creating real-time enforcement mechanisms such as rate limiting or rules engines is preferred for an exceptional fit.
β’ Production experience in deploying ML or LLM-based detection and evaluating precision and recall is preferred for an exceptional fit.
β’ Understanding of email technologies such as SPF, DKIM, DMARC, bounces, complaints, and phishing campaigns is preferred for an exceptional fit.
β’ Knowledge of performance tuning for Postgres and Redis is preferred for an exceptional fit.
