Software Engineer – SDET

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in India.

📋 Description

• Ensure the quality of products for Central Management and Reporting.

• Design, develop, and sustain test strategies as well as test plans.

• Create test automation suites and system testbeds for features related to Central Management and Reporting.

• Improve quality by enhancing existing test suites.

• Develop test scripts to facilitate quicker feedback, automate quality processes, and expedite product deliveries.

• Actively participate as a member of the feature team.

• Comprehend Scrum and agile methodologies and adhere to Scrum best practices.

• Grasp system architecture and standards to formulate quality test plans.

• Understand customer interactions with products.

• Develop comprehensive test plans and test cases.

• Create and manage manual network test setups.

• Research third-party tools to enhance testing efficiency.

• Report defects resulting from test failures and drive them to resolution.

• Troubleshoot developed code and identify issues.

• Formulate and identify product/project test strategies.

• Create automation scripts and maintain records of automation issues and test outcomes.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams regarding requirements and automation feature requests.

• Maintain and debug test setups and scripts.

• Continuously develop, test, release, upgrade, maintain, automate, and evaluate Sophos firewall management, reporting, and licensing product lines.

⛳️ Requirements

• 1–2 years of relevant experience.

• Strong knowledge or practical experience in test automation development using Java, Selenium UI Automation with TestNG Framework, or Python.

• Solid understanding of Quality Assurance and Quality Engineering concepts.

• Experience in both manual and automation testing.

• Practical experience with cloud products.

• Basic understanding of AWS cloud technologies.

• Knowledge of networking protocols, including TCP/IP.

• Familiarity with IPSec, SD-WAN, and firewall policies is a plus.

• Minimum educational qualifications: B.Tech, BE, M.Tech, MCA, or MSc (IT).

• Understanding of Scrum and agile methodologies.

• Ability to comprehend system architecture and standards.

• Experience with AI tools and technologies, applying them to functional, non-functional, and test automation activities.

• Capacity to prioritize tasks, maintain focus, and drive tasks to completion.

• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.

• Familiarity with Jira, TestRail, GitHub, and Jenkins.
