Software Engineer – Product

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Develop and manage backend services and shared platform systems that drive Happy Returns’ products and internal operations.

• Take charge of implementing and delivering new features and projects utilizing programming languages and frameworks such as Golang, Python, and PostgreSQL.

• Construct and oversee data pipelines and tools for analytics, operational workflows, and product functionalities.

• Engage in architecture discussions and participate in technical design reviews.

• Perform code reviews and maintain standards for clean code, testing, and maintainability.

• Gain insights from senior engineers and contribute to knowledge-sharing initiatives.

• Collaborate with Product, Data, and engineering teams to convert requirements into technical solutions.

• Leverage AI-assisted development tools for coding, debugging, testing, and documentation.

• Ensure system health and stability through testing, monitoring, and debugging activities.

⛳️ Requirements

• 1-3 years of experience in building backend APIs or services.

• Knowledge of databases and data storage technologies.

• Capability to efficiently produce clean, maintainable, and thoroughly tested code.

• Strong enthusiasm for a collaborative work environment and daily interaction with stakeholders throughout the organization.

• Curiosity, adaptability, and a willingness to explore new technologies and implement tools that enhance team effectiveness.

• Self-motivated with the ability to learn independently and succeed in a fully remote work setting.

• Bonus: Proficiency in various server-side languages such as Go or Python.

• Bonus: Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, and AWS.

• Bonus: Familiarity with data processing frameworks, ETL/ELT pipelines, or streaming systems.
