Staff Software Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Take ownership of core products, which include prior authorization pipelines, Epic integrations, and AI agents managing patient calls and texts.

• Make architectural choices and produce significant production code.

• Create and maintain production agentic systems within a regulated healthcare setting.

• Develop automated workflows, LLM-assisted QA, RAG, function calling, and evaluation systems.

• Design systems that encompass Epic integration, prior authorization pipelines, and patient communication infrastructure.

• Establish engineering patterns, foster a review culture, and uphold quality standards through code and reviews.

• Plan roadmaps aligned with product milestones and oversee cross-team dependencies.

• Deliver software that addresses the needs of pharmacy users.

• Proactively identify issues by understanding how products integrate with the larger platform.

• Collaborate with pharmacists, pharmacy partners, enterprise health systems, and engineering teams.

• Proven experience in owning a product and making influential decisions regarding its development.

• A history of constructing complex systems from the ground up.

• Capability to articulate specific technical choices and the reasoning behind them.

• Hands-on approach to software engineering.

• Ability to take a step back and grasp the system-wide product context.

• High level of agency and capability to work without well-defined tasks.

• Comfort with ambiguity and quick changes.

• Regular use of AI tools; familiarity with Claude and Cursor is a plus.

• Must be located in the US Eastern or Central time zones.

• Must reside in the United States.

• Ability to work on production systems in a regulated healthcare environment.
