Software Engineer – Next.js, React

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Colombia, +5 more countries.

📋 Description

• Take complete ownership of the portal, overseeing the codebase and guiding product strategy.

• Develop and launch new features in partnership with the CEO and web developer.

• Enhance and optimize the current portal.

• Make informed technical decisions that influence the product's development.

• Clearly articulate technical decisions to leadership.

• Collaborate closely with the CEO to set priorities and determine product direction.

• Utilize tools such as Slack, Zoom, shared documentation, and maintain predictable communication practices.

• Ensure that released features are dependable, well-constructed, secure, and user-ready.

• Take responsibility for outcomes, follow up on tasks, and proactively address issues.

• Continuously refine the product, remove inefficiencies, and foster business growth.

⛳️ Requirements

• Proven, hands-on expertise with Next.js and React (mandatory).

• Regular use of AI coding tools like Cursor, Claude Code, or similar (mandatory).

• Proficient in English, both written and spoken (mandatory).

• Must have full working-hours overlap with U.S. Eastern/Central time (mandatory).

• Availability for exclusive, full-time employment without concurrent clients or contracts (mandatory).

• Demonstrated history of managing projects and effectively communicating with non-technical stakeholders (mandatory).

• Engagement as an independent contractor based in Latin America.

• Required to submit a Certificate of Employment from the most recent job.

• Must provide a valid Certified Background Check for candidates from Latin America.

• Compliance with employment verification and reference checks is a must.

• Required to update LinkedIn profile to reflect CAS as the new employer.

• Must adhere to company monitoring practices using ActivTrak.

• Willingness to work in a U.S. time zone shift is essential.

• Must not request or negotiate for a different shift.
