Software Engineer III

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Illinois, +2 more states.

📋 Description

• Become a part of the AI Platform team within the Technology division.

• Offer engineering support and expertise through shared tools, frameworks, and software methodologies.

• Collaborate with Enterprise Architecture, Security, DevOps, and Infrastructure teams to establish software architecture direction.

• Implement essential technical features through hands-on engagement.

• Develop Agentic Workflows.

• Enhance code quality via code reviews and unit, integration, and acceptance testing.

• Optimize, refactor, and repurpose code for improved performance and maintainability.

• Employ secure engineering practices and strengthen security in existing applications.

• Stay updated with emerging technologies.

• Guide and mentor software engineers while actively seeking mentorship.

• Participate in software development goal setting and advocate for continuous improvement.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 5 years of experience in Enterprise Application Development.

• Familiarity with AI tools such as Copilot and Cursor.

• Proficient in technologies including Kafka, Elastic, RabbitMQ, Vault, Redis, and MongoDB.

• Experience in designing, developing, and maintaining REST APIs using .NET, C#, Node.js, or a similar software stack.

• Knowledge of automation tools, CI/CD processes, unit testing, and quality software development methodologies.

• Expertise in Web UI development with JavaScript/TypeScript utilizing modern frameworks like React.

• Proven experience in building highly scalable and efficient software.

• A mindset focused on continuous learning, growth, and entrepreneurial spirit.

• Preferred: MCP and agent frameworks.

• Preferred: Experience in developing applications using cloud-hosted models such as Azure Cognitive Services or Google VertexAI.

• Preferred: Familiarity with Azure for containerized and PaaS software solutions.

• Preferred: Experience in designing eventually consistent software systems.

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, MIS, or a related field of study.
