Software Engineer II, Supply Chain Sourcing Core

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Independently design and develop products for both customers and associates.

• Create, implement, and provide support for production applications.

• Contribute to configuration, security, resilience, performance optimization, and production monitoring.

• Collaborate and work closely with UX, engineering, and product management team members.

• Document, review, and ensure adherence to quality and change control standards.

• Partner with the Product Team to formulate developer-ready, comprehensible, and testable user stories.

• Write custom code or scripts to automate infrastructure, monitoring services, and test scenarios.

• Conduct destructive testing to verify production resilience.

• Configure and adjust projects utilizing Home Depot-approved methodologies.

• Adapt commercial off-the-shelf solutions to meet business requirements.

• Develop dashboards, logging, alerting, and responses to proactively identify and resolve issues.

• Engage in agile processes and initiatives for team improvement.

• Report to a Software Engineer Manager or Senior Manager.

• No direct reports and travel is not required.

⛳️ Requirements

• Must be at least eighteen years old.

• Must have legal authorization to work in the United States.

• 1-3 years of relevant professional experience.

• Proficiency in writing SQL queries for relational databases.

• Familiarity with version control systems.

• Experience with front-end technologies including HTML, CSS, and JavaScript/Typescript frameworks.

• Background in an object-oriented programming language, preferably Java.

• Experience in source code version control.

• Knowledge of relational or NoSQL database technologies.

• Understanding of cloud computing methodologies.

• Experience with CI/CD tools.

• Familiarity with microservice-based architectures.

• Proficiency in modern debugging and root cause analysis techniques.

• Exposure to security frameworks for user and service authorization and authentication.

• Experience in creating and executing unit, functional, destructive, and performance tests.

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in a related field of study.

• No prior leadership experience required.

• Certifications are not mandatory.
