Software Engineer II, CRM, SEO

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.

📋 Description

• Design, construct, and deploy full-stack features to enhance search engine visibility, improve AI answer engine performance, and drive organic traffic.

• Create and maintain a modular React email component library that compiles into secure, client-safe HTML.

• Develop responsive and accessible HTML/CSS emails compatible with various clients, devices, and dark mode.

• Optimize the Next.js compilation pipeline for preview, compilation, validation, export, speed, reliability, and observability.

• Contribute to the ingestion, transformation, and delivery pipelines for SEO/AEO data.

• Implement dynamic CRM campaigns across email, push, and in-app channels using structured blocks, templating, JSON/YAML, Braze, REST APIs, and webhooks.

• Develop automation and internal tools for quality assurance, SEO experimentation, CRM deep-linking, and token coverage.

• Deliver efficient, observable, and cost-effective code.

• Diagnose rendering and logic problems, lead triage and root-cause analysis, and implement system-level fixes.

• Collaborate with product managers, designers, and marketing teams to translate user requirements into technical specifications and shared outcomes.

⛳️ Requirements

• 3–5 years of experience in software engineering.

• Strong proficiency in React, TypeScript, Ruby, Python, PostgreSQL, and SQL.

• Capability to build and launch complete full-stack features with minimal supervision.

• Hands-on experience with React and Next.js.

• Expertise in HTML/CSS and the development of responsive emails.

• Familiarity with distributed systems and data engineering.

• Experience with Airflow or dbt is a plus.

• Proven experience in building and testing REST API integrations utilizing JSON and webhooks.

• Secure and privacy-compliant data management skills.

• Ability to write high-performance code and enhance observability through logging and metrics.

• Strong product-oriented mindset.

• Effective communication and collaboration skills across functions.

• Familiarity with SEO/AEO, structured data, crawling/indexing, and Core Web Vitals is preferred.

• Knowledge of Liquid, AMPscript, Braze, or Salesforce Marketing Cloud is preferred.

• Experience with email QA tools, Jest, React Testing Library, Cypress/Playwright, big data, NoSQL, data warehousing, design systems, experimentation, AI solutions, or marketing growth initiatives is preferred.
