This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
β’ Design, maintain, and enhance primarily backend applications and services utilizing C#/.NET and SQL Server.
β’ Diagnose production issues across application code, databases, authentication, configuration, logging, integrations, and deployment environments.
β’ Work with both modern and legacy .NET systems, implementing safe and targeted improvements.
β’ Contribute to the gradual modernization of legacy systems, focusing on authentication, deployment, observability, and operational enhancements.
β’ Collaborate across services, databases, integrations, and support-facing applications when issues span system boundaries.
β’ Develop and maintain technical documentation, troubleshooting guides, and investigation notes.
β’ Partner with Engineering, Product, IT, Help Desk, Customer Success, and other teams to resolve technical challenges.
β’ Utilize AI-assisted engineering tools for development, code analysis, testing, debugging, and documentation, while assessing AI-generated outputs prior to production usage.
β’ Extensive hands-on experience in C# and .NET application development.
β’ Proficient in SQL Server, including skills in stored procedures and data-driven troubleshooting.
β’ Experience in developing and resolving issues in backend applications, services, and integrations.
β’ Ability to comprehend unfamiliar or legacy code and implement safe, targeted modifications.
β’ Expertise in diagnosing production issues using application logs, database analysis, and other operational data.
β’ Familiarity with AI development tools such as Claude Code or Cursor.
β’ Understanding of authentication and authorization concepts including OIDC, claims, roles, sessions, and platforms like Okta.
β’ Experience with source control, CI/CD pipelines, testing, and software deployment methodologies.
β’ Proficient in using AI-assisted development tools or a strong willingness to integrate them into daily engineering workflows.
β’ Capability to work effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
β’ Nice to have: Experience with VB.NET, IIS, Windows services, Vue/TypeScript, and AWS services.
