This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New York.
• Design, develop, test, and maintain Microsoft Teams bot applications and integrations.
• Build low-latency, reliable, and high-quality audio and video streaming features.
• Develop applications and services for Windows utilizing C# and .NET.
• Deploy, manage, and troubleshoot containerized applications within Kubernetes.
• Integrate with Microsoft APIs, SDKs, authentication systems, and various cloud services.
• Diagnose media-related issues including codecs, synchronization, buffering, packet loss, and network conditions.
• Create automated testing scripts and engage in code reviews.
• Troubleshoot production issues utilizing logs, metrics, traces, and media diagnostics.
• Collaborate with product managers and engineers to convert requirements into maintainable solutions.
• Produce comprehensive technical and operational documentation.
• Contribute production-ready features to the Teams bot application within a six-month timeframe.
• Independently identify and resolve common audio/video streaming issues within six months.
• Deploy and troubleshoot applications in Kubernetes environments within six months.
• Enhance the reliability, test coverage, scalability, and observability of the media pipeline within six months.
• Approximately 3–5 years of professional software development experience.
• Strong expertise in C#, .NET, and asynchronous or concurrent programming.
• Professional experience in developing software for Windows platforms.
• Practical experience in building or supporting real-time audio streaming systems.
• Practical experience in building or supporting real-time video streaming systems.
• Experience in deploying and operating containerized applications using Kubernetes.
• Proficiency in troubleshooting Kubernetes workloads, networking, configuration, resource usage, scaling, and application failures.
• Understanding of real-time media concepts including codecs, frame and sample formats, buffering, latency, synchronization, and network transport.
• Experience in integrating with REST APIs, SDKs, and event-driven systems.
• Familiarity with multithreading, memory management, performance profiling, and debugging techniques.
• Experience with Git, automated testing, and modern CI/CD practices.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
