Software Engineer II

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Create and implement both proprietary and third-party tools that enhance the member enrollment pipeline, encompassing eligibility verification, plan and benefit alignment, registration, and activation.

• Impact conversion rates and enrollment timelines by optimizing current practices or introducing new strategies in collaboration with Product and Marketing teams.

• Produce high-quality web application code through thorough code reviews and both unit and integration testing.

• Utilize best practices for architecture, system design, and coding standards.

• Dedicate significant time to hands-on coding while working alongside seasoned engineers.

• Direct the use of Claude Code, Cursor, and GitHub Copilot in daily coding workflows covering planning, implementation, testing, and review processes.

• Work with the team to embrace and integrate new technologies.

• Take part in the on-call rotation, address reliability concerns, and tackle critical issues within the enrollment pipeline.

⛳️ Requirements

• 3-5 years of experience in writing clear, tested, and efficient code.

• Proficiency in Ruby (preferred) or Python.

• Experience with relational databases, including PostgreSQL and MySQL.

• Experience in designing scalable, maintainable, and secure APIs.

• Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines.

• Familiarity with LLMs and GenAI best practices.

• Practical experience in guiding AI coding agents like Claude Code, Cursor, and GitHub Copilot beyond basic autocomplete functionalities.

• Understanding of cloud infrastructure, preferably AWS, and deployment tools such as Kubernetes and Docker.

• Eagerness to learn new tools, languages, workflows, and philosophies.

• Strong communication and collaboration abilities.
