Software Engineer II

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Create products that assist organizations in training employees and addressing people-related challenges on a large scale.

• Deliver updates consistently and iteratively by writing code that is testable, readable, and maintainable.

• Resolve bugs and enhance performance issues.

• Gain insights into data flows within complex systems and detailed data models.

• Utilize AI-driven development tools judiciously to enhance speed and code quality.

• Design and implement solutions while taking into account scale, security, performance, and privacy considerations.

• Review quantitative and qualitative research pertaining to clients and learners.

• Contribute to the product strategy and roadmap.

• Track and evaluate operational performance trends during Operational Reviews.

• Collaborate with Product to offer feasible technical pathways for features and enhancements.

• Work alongside product, design, and support teams to maximize user benefits.

• Engage in and lead code review sessions.

• Share insights through presentations or documentation.

• Mentor team members.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 5 years of experience as a Software Engineer.

• Proficient in coding within a production Python/Django environment.

• Skilled in writing and optimizing SQL queries.

• Experienced in designing relational data models.

• Familiar with React and TypeScript.

• Exposure to infrastructure-as-code tools such as Terraform.

• Experienced with tiered web application architecture, including backend services, APIs, and frontend integration.

• Proven ability to improve or refactor complex systems in production without disrupting customer experience, particularly under conditions involving tight synchronization, legacy code, or data consistency challenges.

• Strong written communication skills.
