Software Engineer II

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Taiwan.

📋 Description

• Enhance Circle's internal blockchain systems infrastructure to facilitate tokenization.

• Evaluate requirements, processes, and challenges to enhance and adjust existing systems.

• Develop and manage scalable microservices for dependable and secure APIs that transfer value and assets across blockchain and traditional banking protocols.

• Work in partnership with Product and Engineering teams to design, test, and refine Circle features.

• Create and document system design methodologies, testing protocols, and quality standards.

• Diagnose and resolve program and system issues.

• Develop publicly accessible APIs for developers to integrate with intricate payment systems.

• Connect Platform Services with top banks and financial technologies.

• Collaborate with management to ensure alignment on system principles.

• Construct infrastructure for payment experiences, encompassing SQL or NoSQL data sources, messaging systems, and APIs.

• Execute other responsibilities as assigned.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 2–4 years of professional software development experience in object-oriented programming languages such as Go.

• A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent experience.

• Familiarity with Golang web frameworks like Gin and Fasthttp.

• Knowledge of Golang development tools including go mod and golint.

• Comprehensive understanding of API design and REST principles.

• Experience with cloud services such as AWS, Google Cloud, or Microsoft Azure.

• Proficiency in SQL databases and schema design.

• Eagerness and capability to learn new languages and technologies.

• Experience in deploying production-quality, scalable software.

• Commitment to coding standards, code quality, and test coverage for continuous delivery.

• Strong communication and collaboration skills with remote teams.

• Self-motivated with a curious mindset and the ability to work independently.

• Proficient written and verbal communication skills in both English and Mandarin Chinese are required.
