Software Engineer II

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in India.

📋 Description

• Design and sustain high-quality software applications, primarily utilizing Python.

• Oversee containerized applications using Docker and manage orchestration with Kubernetes.

• Establish and supervise robust CI/CD pipelines, emphasizing Jenkins.

• Ensure secure deployment methods through vulnerability management and static code analysis.

• Create innovative infrastructure applications essential for Akamai's highly available application deployment platform.

• Play a role in developing the next-generation Kubernetes-powered App Battery platform.

⛳️ Requirements

• Minimum of 3 years of professional experience in the software engineering field.

• Practical experience with containerization and orchestration technologies, specifically Docker and Kubernetes.

• Strong understanding of object-oriented programming (OOPS).

• Expertise in Linux administration and command usage.

• Knowledge of GitOps continuous delivery utilizing ArgoCD.

• Familiarity with logging and observability tools such as Fluentbit and Logstash.

• Understanding of modern web development practices, including TypeScript.

• Proficient in Python and contemporary containerization technologies.
