Software Engineer I

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Alabama.

📋 Description

• Engage in the full software development lifecycle, covering design, architecture, system integration, usability, and delivery.

• Work collaboratively with engineers, product owners, and management to create scalable SaaS solutions within an agile framework.

• Design, develop, test, and implement new features and software applications.

• Generate and sustain technical documentation, architectural designs, and proposals for enhancements.

• Analyze application performance, tuning as necessary, and address issues related to scalability and reliability.

• Perform code reviews to uphold code quality standards.

• Assist with release management and the deployment and maintenance of production systems.

• Investigate, debug, and resolve high-priority production issues.

• Write unit tests and contribute to strategies for automated testing.

• Design and implement logging, error handling, and performance monitoring dashboards.

• Optimize slow SQL queries and alleviate system bottlenecks.

• Participate in backlog grooming, sprint planning, and provide status updates.

• Ensure adherence to security, privacy, accessibility, ethical AI standards, corporate policies, and federal regulations.

• Support QA and client services teams.

• Provide assistance to fellow team members and development teams as required.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or equivalent industry experience.

• At least one (1) year of experience as a Software Engineer.

• Proficient in SQL Server 2019+, SSMS, and T-SQL.

• Familiarity with XML, JSON, XPath, XSL, XSLT, and XPointer.

• Experience working with C# and ASP.NET (MVC, Web Forms, WebAPI).

• Knowledge of React, Node.js, AngularJS, JavaScript, TypeScript, jQuery, and HTML.

• Understanding of WCF, SOAP, RESTful Web Services, Entity Framework, and ADO.NET.

• Proficient in Microsoft Visual Studio 2022+.

• Experience using Azure DevOps, Git, and TFS.

• Familiarity with Microsoft Release Management and Docker.

• Knowledge of Redis and RabbitMQ.

• Experience with Copilot and Continue AI developer tools.

• Understanding of Telerik and Kendo UI, Bootstrap, Microsoft Office, and SQL Server Reporting Services.

• Knowledge of Azure, AWS, and private cloud environments.

• Familiarity with Object-Oriented Analysis & Design, design patterns, and MS Visio.

• Proven experience in designing scalable, enterprise-grade solutions.

• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving abilities.

• Capability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines under pressure.

• Effective communication skills with the ability to clarify complex technical matters.

• Proficiency in speaking, reading, and writing in English.

• Must have clear vision with or without corrective lenses and clear hearing with or without aids.

• Ability to repetitively use hands, fingers, and wrists with a computer keyboard and other office equipment.

• Willingness to travel occasionally as needed.
