This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Brazil.
• Design, test, validate, and sustain custom software solutions and configurations tailored to client needs.
• Validate and test SAML 2.0 / SSO integrations with external systems prior to and following production deployment.
• Assess application logic, integrations, and customizations for reliability, performance, and expected functionality.
• Utilize SQL and relational databases for data validation, troubleshooting, and ensuring consistency.
• Investigate and resolve issues in staging and production environments through log analysis, debugging, issue reproduction, and root cause analysis.
• Collaborate with Project Managers, Implementation teams, Professional Services, Engineering, and other technical stakeholders to comprehend requirements and deliver effective solutions.
• Assist in software deployments and production releases, ensuring that changes are thoroughly tested and validated.
• Employ Git and version control systems throughout the software development and deployment processes.
• Document technical solutions, client-specific logic, integrations, configurations, and data structures.
• Contribute to enhancing testing, troubleshooting, deployment, and software delivery processes.
• Develop a comprehensive understanding of Symplicity's products, architecture, integrations, and client use cases.
• A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• Professional experience or internships in software engineering, systems engineering, quality engineering, or a related technical area.
• Experience in developing and maintaining features utilizing PHP technologies.
• Proficient working knowledge of SQL and relational databases.
• Familiarity with Git and version control systems.
• Experience in Linux/Unix environments.
• Ability to troubleshoot technical issues using logs, testing, debugging, and structured problem-solving techniques.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a keen attention to detail.
• Capacity to collaborate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Advanced conversational English skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with colleagues based in the U.S.
• Preferred: experience in SaaS or cloud-based software environments.
• Preferred: experience with software implementations, client customizations, integrations, or Professional Services.
• Preferred: familiarity with CI/CD, deployment processes, or DevOps practices.
• Preferred: experience with web technologies and API integrations.
• Preferred: understanding of the software development lifecycle and production release processes.
• Preferred: previous experience in a client-facing, product-oriented, or implementation-focused technical role.
• Preferred: understanding of SAML 2.0, SSO, APIs, or system integrations.
• Preferred: experience in higher education technology, EdTech, or career services technology.
