Software Engineer I

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in India.

📋 Description

• Develop, construct, and sustain the fundamental backend platform, encompassing microservice frameworks, libraries, asynchronous inter-service communication, and media management.

• Actively collaborate with engineering teams to pinpoint deficiencies and tackle them.

• Effectively convey gaps and proposed solutions to stakeholders.

• Suggest and execute solutions.

• Guarantee high availability and security of applications and services.

• Establish elevated standards for engineering design and code quality.

• Leverage AI agents to automate repetitive coding activities and create extensive test suites.

• Utilize AI-driven tools for code analysis and detecting vulnerabilities.

• Incorporate AI-generated insights into performance monitoring to recognize and mitigate potential bottlenecks.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 2 years of experience in software engineering, with pertinent experience in platform or product engineering.

• Familiarity with microservice architecture and exposure to systems at consumer scale.

• Solid understanding of modern technologies and practical coding experience in Go, C++, Python, or Java.

• Experience in a cloud environment and a strong grasp of engineering fundamentals.

• Ability to communicate concisely and clearly in both written and spoken forms.

• A strong customer-centric mindset and empathy.

• Eagerness to learn new technologies and develop expertise as required.

• Emphasis on impact and results.

• Determination and resourcefulness to navigate and overcome challenges while reaching ambitious objectives.

• Proven history of effectively resolving problems with quality and efficiency.

• High integrity and capability to collaborate positively with peers.

• Nice to have: familiarity with Kubernetes and service mesh architecture.

• Nice to have: experience with gRPC and protobuf.

• Nice to have: experience with Cassandra, PostgreSQL, Elasticsearch, Kafka, and Backstage.
