Software Engineer, Frontend – Contract

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.

📋 Description

• Design, maintain, and enhance production-grade frontend code for enterprise websites utilizing contemporary web technologies for clients.

• Engage actively in peer code reviews and follow industry best practices.

• Uphold high standards for code maintainability.

• Create detailed technical documentation.

• Collaborate closely within an agile, multidisciplinary team of developers and UI/UX designers.

• Develop clean, maintainable, and well-documented code with a clear separation of concerns.

• Bring a keen eye for refined design and work together on micro-interactions.

• Utilize a profound understanding of the overall user experience when developing software.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 4 years of professional web development experience crafting clean, production-ready HTML, CSS, and TypeScript or JavaScript.

• Solid, hands-on experience with at least one modern JavaScript framework, such as React or Angular.

• Familiarity with WCAG 2.2 AA accessibility standards and optimization techniques.

• Experience in creating smooth, high-performance animations with CSS, GSAP, Framer Motion, or similar tools.

• Proven experience delivering projects for external clients on fixed timelines, preferably in an agency setting.

• Capable of working independently in a remote environment with proactive communication, innovative problem-solving, and a team-oriented approach.

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Design, or equivalent practical experience.

• Additional experience with backend technologies such as Python, TypeScript, or Go, and integrating AI into user experiences is a plus.
