This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in North America.
β’ Develop and sustain developer tools that facilitate seamless integration of Resend across various languages, frameworks, and environments.
β’ Design and manage services that support developer tools and integration efforts.
β’ Partner with product teams on API agreements and ensure consistent functionality across SDKs, CLI, MCP, and documentation.
β’ Create interfaces utilized by developers and agents to interact with Resend, including MCP, skills, and CLI.
β’ Ensure compatibility, conduct testing, manage releases, and oversee upgrades.
β’ Develop shared tools that empower other teams to implement changes with confidence.
β’ Engage directly with developers through support channels, GitHub issues, and pull requests.
β’ Significant backend engineering experience, particularly in building and maintaining APIs or services in a production environment.
β’ Proficiency in TypeScript and Node.js.
β’ Knowledge of authentication, authorization, retries, idempotency, rate limits, and handling partial failures.
β’ Experience in creating software that other developers rely on.
β’ Attention to interface design, clear error messaging, comprehensive documentation, and maintaining backward compatibility.
β’ Capability to consider agents as product users, including their requirements for discovery and security.
β’ Skill in addressing ambiguous problems, proposing targeted solutions, and executing follow-through after deployment.
β’ Strong communication skills, receptiveness to feedback, and a sense of ownership while collaborating closely with others.
β’ Experience in maintaining open-source projects or collaborating closely with external contributors is a standout qualification.
β’ Familiarity with SDKs, command-line tools, MCP servers, or platform integrations is a standout qualification.
β’ Knowledge of React or frontend build tools is a standout qualification.
β’ Experience with operating systems that involve queues, monitoring, and error recovery is a standout qualification.
β’ Proficiency across multiple programming languages is a standout qualification.
β’ Background in email development or a strong interest in learning more about the area is a standout qualification.
