This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in North America.
• Develop and maintain developer tools that facilitate easy integration of Resend across various languages, frameworks, and environments.
• Create and manage services that support developer tools and integrations.
• Collaborate with product teams on API specifications and ensure consistent behavior across SDKs, CLI, MCP, and documentation.
• Design interfaces for developers and agents to interact with Resend, including MCP, skills, and CLI.
• Oversee compatibility, testing, releases, and upgrades.
• Create shared tools that enable other teams to implement changes confidently.
• Engage directly with developers through support channels, GitHub issues, and pull requests.
• Strong experience in backend engineering, including the development and maintenance of APIs or services in production environments.
• Proficiency in TypeScript and Node.js.
• Knowledge of authentication, authorization, retries, idempotency, rate limits, and handling partial failures.
• Experience in building software relied upon by other developers.
• Attention to interface design, clear error messaging, useful documentation, and maintaining backward compatibility.
• Ability to consider agents as product users with specific needs for discovery and security.
• Capacity to tackle ambiguous problems, propose focused solutions, and follow through post-release.
• Strong communication skills, openness to feedback, and a sense of ownership while collaborating closely with others.
• Experience in maintaining open-source projects or closely collaborating with external contributors.
• Background in developing SDKs, command-line tools, MCP servers, or platform integrations.
• Familiarity with React or frontend build tools.
• Experience in building and managing systems that incorporate queues, monitoring, and error recovery.
• Exposure to multiple programming languages.
• Experience in email development or a strong eagerness to learn in this area.
