Software Engineer Co-op

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.

📋 Description

• Assist in the creation of new features from the initial design phase through to implementation under the supervision of senior developers.

• Develop, test, and debug code to guarantee high-quality software delivery.

• Engage in code reviews and contribute to the maintenance of coding standards.

• Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams, including product managers, to transform requirements into technical solutions.

• Help document new features and enhancements to facilitate understanding and maintenance.

• Keep abreast of emerging technologies, tools, and industry trends.

• Actively seek feedback and identify opportunities for personal and professional improvement.

• Acquire hands-on full-stack development experience across both front-end and back-end components within the Agents team.

⛳️ Requirements

• Currently pursuing a degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related discipline, and looking for a co-op or internship position.

• Proficient in TypeScript or similar programming languages, with a preference for TypeScript.

• Familiar with at least one front-end framework, such as React.

• Basic knowledge of back-end languages and frameworks, like Node.js.

• Strong attention to detail and analytical capabilities.

• Comfortable working independently, demonstrating initiative, and asking questions when guidance is needed.

• Outstanding communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively within a team.

• Possess a sense of ownership and a commitment to supporting project objectives.

• Familiar with Git and best practices in version control.

• Proficient in English, both written and verbal.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, including troubleshooting complex issues and providing effective solutions.

• Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks efficiently.

• Candidates will be required to undergo a criminal records check upon hiring.

• Must be a Canadian citizen, including dual citizens, or eligible to work in Canada.

• Willingness to adhere to Solink’s security policies and standards.

• Preferred: experience with cloud services such as AWS or Google Cloud.

• Preferred: familiarity with REST APIs.

• Preferred: background in high-velocity startup or AI-first environments.
