Software Engineer, Backend – Java

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Brazil.

📋 Description

• Design, develop, and implement back-end solutions utilizing Java, ensuring high standards of code quality and efficiency.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to comprehend business requirements and convert them into technical solutions.

• Engage with technical stakeholders and teams across business, product, and architecture domains.

• Actively participate in code reviews to promote best development practices and maintain software quality.

• Contribute to the definition of system architecture and service integration.

• Identify and address technical challenges, suggesting continuous improvements for existing processes and systems.

• Document developed processes and solutions to ensure knowledge sharing within the team.

• Serve as a technical reference, supporting reviews and architectural decisions while mentoring fellow developers.

⛳️ Requirements

• Extensive experience in Java development (17+), with profound knowledge of the Spring ecosystem (Spring Boot, WebFlux).

• Proficiency in Kotlin development.

• Familiarity with mobile development (in-depth expertise is not mandatory).

• Experience working with event-driven architecture (Kafka).

• Expertise in integrations involving both relational and non-relational databases (Oracle, MongoDB).

• Background in microservices and distributed application development.

• Experience in developing RESTful APIs and integrating with databases.

• Knowledge of cloud computing development (AWS, Google Cloud Platform, Azure).

• Experience in developing and/or orchestrating containers (Kubernetes, Docker, OpenShift).

• Familiarity with source code version control tools such as Git.

• Experience with software architecture and code design.

• Understanding of performance, scalability, and optimization for distributed applications.

• Experience with automated testing and testing practices.

• Awareness of information security and secure development best practices.

• Contribution to agile development methodologies such as Scrum or Kanban.

• Knowledge of observability practices, including logging, metrics, and monitoring.

• Experience working on projects related to investments, pension plans, credit unions, or financial institutions.

• Familiarity with large-scale projects and high-availability environments.

• Experience with DevOps practices, continuous integration, continuous delivery, and deployment automation tools (CI/CD).
