Software Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.

📋 Description

• Maintain, modernize, and innovate core engineering applications that support music publishing.

• Reimagine and implement technology solutions for the music industry.

• Collaborate as part of a dynamic engineering team.

• Take ownership of innovative products and features throughout the design, creation, testing, deployment, and maintenance phases.

• Write clean, optimized, maintainable, and reusable code.

• Deliver work in accordance with established standards and best practices, including test automation and test coverage.

• Create detailed and comprehensive technical design documentation.

• Review and assess the code and design documents of peers.

• Mentor junior engineers and work collaboratively with engineering leaders.

• Support systems related to rights management, contract administration, royalty processing, and global licensing management.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field.

• 2 to 5 years of experience in Java with substantial full-stack experience.

• Ability to produce maintainable code and conduct code reviews for peers.

• Strong operational excellence practices, including testing, monitoring, paging, and incident management.

• Capability to enhance test coverage and make informed design trade-off decisions.

• Demonstrated success in delivering software features that adhere to scalability, performance, and product quality best practices.

• Experience working effectively in a team environment and communicating clearly.

• Familiarity with AWS.

• Experience in writing design documents and acting as a design reviewer.
