Software Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants anywhere in the world.

📋 Description

• Propel the advancement of the Turso open-source database, with a focus on its Postgres compatibility layer.

• Establish effective systems and guarantees to ensure code reliability and prevent disruptions.

• Oversee the operations of Turso Cloud, including the Cloud API and data plane functions.

• Enhance the scalability of Turso Cloud operations to accommodate 100 times more databases.

• Work collaboratively with customers and various teams at Supabase.

• Develop database technology tools capable of scaling to billions.

⛳️ Requirements

• Proven experience in writing databases and/or other mission-critical low-level systems, such as hypervisors, OS kernels, or storage devices.

• Background in collaborating with remote teams and engaging with open-source communities.

• Familiarity with Deterministic Simulation Testing, formal verification techniques, fuzz testing, and differential testing.

• Experience in deploying, managing, and troubleshooting large-scale production software systems in cloud platforms like AWS and Kubernetes.

• Skills in enhancing observability, reliability, and performance of intricate cloud systems.

• Proficient in Rust programming.

• Comfortable with LLM-assisted development and evaluations.

• Experience working with embedded databases.

• Ability to communicate clearly with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

• Capable of navigating uncertainty and making swift decisions.
