This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Virginia.

📋 Description

• Provide leadership in senior software engineering for the research, design, development, integration, testing, and maintenance of MFOM software and utilities.

• Direct the technical breakdown of intricate requirements into actionable tasks, ensuring alignment with architectural designs, acceptance criteria, and testable increments.

• Evaluate code and designs, promote secure development and DevOps/DevSecOps practices, mentor engineering staff, and address challenging software defects or integration challenges.

• Collaborate with product/requirements, architecture, infrastructure, database, systems, and quality assurance teams to ensure traceability and readiness for release.

• Facilitate Kubernetes-based delivery and troubleshoot application performance across distributed environments.

• Articulate technical risks and provide recommendations.

• Assist in the Maintenance Figure of Merit (MFOM) system and software engineering projects for the United States Navy.

⛳️ Requirements

• Possess an active US Top Secret level clearance with SCI eligibility.

• Hold a Master’s or Bachelor’s degree in a quantitative discipline (e.g., engineering, mathematics, etc.).

• Certification as an Agile Developer or Certified Scrum Developer.

• Have a minimum of 10 years of professional experience in the research, design, and development of computer and network software or specialized utility programs with a Master's degree, or at least 14 years of experience with a Bachelor's degree.

• Demonstrate experience in applying programming concepts and modern software development methodologies (agile, DevOps/DevSecOps).

• Have 2 years of experience with Kubernetes.

• Possess DoD 8570/DoD 8140 compliance certification at Level II or Level III.
