Mendix Developer, SME

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Illinois.

📋 Description

• Oversee the design, development, and implementation of enterprise-level applications utilizing the Mendix low-code platform.

• Act as the internal subject matter expert (SME) and main authority on Mendix best practices, platform governance, reusable component libraries, and development standards.

• Recognize and address functional and technical discrepancies between Mendix applications and SAP back-end systems.

• Work in collaboration with business stakeholders, solution architects, and SAP functional consultants to convert business requirements into scalable Mendix app solutions.

• Facilitate Mendix-to-SAP integration through SAP BTP, Cloud Connector, and OData services.

• Guide junior and mid-level Mendix developers through code reviews, workshops, and knowledge-sharing sessions.

• Participate in pre-sales activities, including solution scoping, effort estimations, and the creation of technical proposals.

• Ensure application quality through the use of CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, and adherence to Mendix performance standards.

• Assist with configuration management and change-control processes to comply with federal security and program requirements.

⛳️ Requirements

• Minimum of 5 years of practical software development experience, including at least 3 years focused on Mendix development.

• Mendix Advanced Developer Certification (mandatory).

• US Citizenship is required.

• Active Secret Clearance is necessary.

• Proven ability to connect Mendix applications with SAP back-end systems.

• Knowledge of SAP integration patterns, including OData services, SAP BTP destinations, and Cloud Connector configuration.

• Familiarity with SAP ERP, SAP S/4HANA, or SAP BTP.

• Expertise in Mendix Studio Pro, microflows, nanoflows, domain modeling, and custom widget development.

• Strong grasp of REST/OData API integration with SAP systems.

• Experience with SAP BTP and cloud-native deployment models.

• Comprehensive understanding of Agile/Scrum methodologies.

• Familiarity with DevOps practices, Git, CI/CD, and automated testing.

• Knowledge of federal IT security standards and ability to function in controlled/classified environments.
