Director, Process Engineering – Physician Billing

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Collaborate with leadership in physician billing operations to gain insights into workflows, processes, challenges, and areas for enhancement.

• Convert the operational needs of physician billing into well-defined, actionable requirements for the Product and Engineering teams.

• Assist in modifying R37 technology to align with hospital billing workflows, ensuring it meets the requirements of physician billing.

• Engage with Product and Engineering teams throughout the development process to ensure that the solutions address operational needs effectively.

• Spearhead the discovery process, process mapping, requirements documentation, testing, validation, and implementation support.

• Evaluate operational data to uncover root causes, trends, themes, and prospects for automation.

• Lead and nurture team members through guidance, mentorship, and performance support.

• Communicate strategies, requirements, risks, progress updates, and proposed solutions to both operational and executive leadership.

⛳️ Requirements

• At least eight years of experience in healthcare operations, encompassing revenue cycle management, provider, payer, or vendor roles.

• Relevant operational experience or substantial exposure to the physician billing domain.

• Proven experience in leading and managing team members.

• Background in collaborating with Product, Engineering, IT, or other technical teams to create operational solutions.

• Capability to translate intricate operational workflows into clear requirements, process maps, and implementation strategies.

• Proficient in Excel and adept at using data to uncover trends, root causes, and performance improvement opportunities.

• Familiarity with operating systems, payor portals, EHRs, and healthcare revenue cycle processes.

• Ability to work independently, proactively identify risks, and navigate ambiguous tasks.

• Excellent written, presentation, and stakeholder communication abilities.

• Proven technical aptitude with a quick learning curve for new platforms and technical concepts.

• Willingness to travel up to 25%.
