Software Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Spain.

📋 Description

• Create thoughtful and dependable experiences for both teachers and students.

• Collaborate closely with Product and Engineering teams to comprehend user needs and explore potential solutions.

• Participate in product and technical discussions actively.

• Take charge of challenges through research, proposing solutions, and executing implementations.

• Work alongside cross-functional teammates to achieve outcomes efficiently and within deadlines.

• Produce pixel-perfect designs in partnership with the Design team.

• Develop clean, testable, and reliable code across the entire stack.

• Continuously learn and deepen your understanding of Edpuzzle software and tools.

• Utilize AI and modern tools judiciously while maintaining quality and sound judgment.

• Troubleshoot, debug, and enhance software as needed.

• Write comprehensive technical documentation.

• Contribute wherever necessary to assist the team in delivering impactful results.

• Potentially lead projects that involve increasing technical or product complexity.

⛳️ Requirements

• 3 to 5 years of professional experience in frontend, backend, or full-stack development.

• Proven experience in writing well-tested JavaScript/TypeScript code and delivering features from start to finish in real-world systems.

• Strong background in building complex interactive UIs using React and developing backend systems with Node.js, preferably in high-traffic environments.

• Comfortable working across the entire stack or aspiring to become full-stack.

• Product-oriented in technical decision-making, always keeping the end user in mind.

• A pragmatic approach to technology.

• Responsible use of AI and modern tools.

• Curiosity, proactive learning, and a willingness to challenge existing assumptions.

• Demonstrated ownership, autonomy, effective time management, and adaptability when priorities shift.

• Excellent communication skills with the ability to tailor messages to various audiences.

• Proficient in spoken Spanish and written English.

• Must be based in Spain and possess a work permit to work there.

• References from previous employers will be required.
