Application Developer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Colorado.

📋 Description

• Create application code for various use cases and review existing code.

• Perform security evaluations and address security issues related to CVEs, libraries, and web scanning tools.

• Identify, reproduce, and resolve bugs reported by users and the team.

• Oversee infrastructure, including CI/CD deployment processes, scaling analysis, and maintenance operations.

• Assist users by responding to application inquiries, fixing bugs, and investigating issues and discrepancies.

• Collaborate with a team of developers to develop, maintain, support, and enhance both existing and new metadata systems.

• Engage in data management/harvesting systems, information discovery tools, reporting and analysis, and metadata entry and management.

• Acquire knowledge and training on development across various applications within the first 30 days.

• Complete multiple development and bug resolution tickets within the first 60 days.

• Fully integrate as a team member within the first 90 days.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 3-5 years of developer experience.

• Must be a US Citizen to comply with government contract requirements.

• Ability to obtain and maintain a position of Public Trust clearance.

• Experience with Python and Flask.

• Familiarity with testing using UI Playwright and pytest for unit testing.

• Preferred: Experience with data metadata standards (CSDGM, ISO, DCAT) either in usage or implementation.

• Preferred: Familiarity with Cloud.gov or support (or Cloud Foundry).

• Preferred: Experience in GitHub code development, including ticket management, Actions, and branching.

• Preferred: Security assessment experience of CVEs and executing upgrades/fixes.

• Preferred: Background in data management/pipeline (ETL).

• Preferred: Knowledge of the Jinja2 templating library.

• Preferred: Experience using the New Relic monitoring tool.
