Software Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Design and develop software solutions tailored for complex, high-volume data environments.

• Uphold high coding standards through established guidelines, code reviews, continuous advancement, and knowledge sharing.

• Create efficient data structures and algorithms suitable for large-scale, high-throughput data processing.

• Assist in the management and optimization of data storage and warehousing solutions.

• Develop robust APIs for front-end developers and external systems.

• Collaborate with front-end developers to seamlessly integrate user-facing elements with server-side logic.

• Enhance application performance and scalability through thorough performance analysis.

• Engage in ETL development and data integration initiatives.

• Ensure data quality and accessibility for analytics applications.

• Participate actively throughout the product lifecycle, from ideation and design to prototyping, development, and production delivery.

• Work alongside both technical and non-technical teammates to comprehend customer challenges and devise solutions.

• Operate independently while making autonomous decisions and collaborating across teams.

• Proven experience in developing user-facing web applications.

• Demonstrated expertise in designing robust APIs.

• Experience in scaling systems to accommodate increasing data volumes.

• In-depth knowledge of server-side logic, efficient data management, and distributed systems.

• Capable of collaborating effectively with both technical and non-technical team members.

• Comfortable operating in a rapidly changing environment with evolving objectives and user feedback.

• Experience in delivering high-quality software within a fast-paced CI/CD development framework.

• Strong emphasis on user-centered workflows and solutions.

• Familiarity with Ruby on Rails, Turbo Streams, Phlex, or RubyLLM.

• Proficiency in Python for developing data pipelines.

• Experience with relational databases including MySQL and PostgreSQL.

• Knowledge of analytical data stores such as Iceberg and S3Tables.

• Experience with cloud platforms like AWS, Azure, and Google Cloud.

• Background in ETL development and data integration.

• Expertise in data structures, algorithms, data storage, and warehousing solutions.
