Software Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Convert product, system, and customer requirements into sustainable software designs and technical strategies.

• Write secure, testable, and observable code for intricate features, services, integrations, and data workflows.

• Develop automated unit, integration, contract, and system tests.

• Uphold effective code-review standards.

• Troubleshoot complex defects and production issues across applications, data, APIs, and infrastructure boundaries.

• Decompose ambiguous tasks, identify dependencies and risks, and steer implementation among contributors.

• Guide and mentor engineers, conduct design reviews, and elevate engineering standards without relying on formal authority.

⛳️ Requirements

• A bachelor's degree in computer science, software engineering, information systems, or a related discipline, or equivalent directly relevant experience.

• A minimum of seven years of professional software engineering experience in delivering production systems.

• Advanced expertise in at least one pertinent programming language.

• Strong understanding of software design, APIs, data management, testing, source control, and secure development practices.

• Proven ability to lead complex technical projects from vague requirements to dependable delivery.

• Preferred: experience in supporting federal, defense, regulated, or mission-critical systems.

• Preferred: familiarity with cloud-native architecture, distributed systems, DevSecOps, and software supply-chain security.
